Elizabeth Harton's ambition to become the top writer at her tabloid magazine, is causing her shaky marriage to crumble.
When she takes a flight to San Francisco, in search of a scoop, she meets and befriends Ann - a mysterious married woman who introduces Elizabeth to her lover. Elizabeth attempts to write a story about Ann's secret life, but things get out of control when Ann is murdered by a mysterious masked intruder.
