Minority Report (2002) - Steven Spielberg, Tom Cruise

Minority Report is a 2002 science fiction neo-noir directed by Steven Spielberg and loosely based on the short story "The Minority Report" by Philip K. Dick. It is set primarily in Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia in the year 2054, where "Precrime", a specialized police department, apprehends criminals based on foreknowledge provided by three psychics called "precogs". The cast includes Tom Cruise as Precrime officer John Anderton, Colin Farrell as Department of Justice agent Danny Witwer, Samantha Morton as the senior precog Agatha, and Max von Sydow as Anderton's superior Lamar Burgess. The film has a distinctive look, featuring high contrast for dark colors and shadows, resembling film noir.

Minority Report was one of the best reviewed films of 2002, and was nominated for and won several awards. These included an Academy Award nomination for Best Sound Editing, and four Saturn Awards, including Best Science Fiction Film and Best Direction.

I, Robot (2004) DVD - Will Smith, Alex Proyas (dir)

I, Robot is a 2004 science-fiction action film directed by Alex Proyas. The screenplay was written by Jeff Vintar, Akiva Goldsman and Hillary Seitz and is loosely based on Isaac Asimov's short-story collection of the same name. Will Smith stars in the lead role of the film as Detective Del Spooner. The supporting cast includes Bridget Moynahan, Bruce Greenwood, James Cromwell, Chi McBride, Alan Tudyk, and Shia LaBeouf. It was nominated for the 2004 Academy Award for Best Visual Effects.

In the year 2035 a techno-phobic cop investigates a crime that may have been perpetrated by a robot, which leads to a larger threat to humanity.

The Bourne Identity DVD (2002) Matt Damon

The Bourne Identity is a 2002 spy film based on Robert Ludlum's novel of the same name. It stars Matt Damon as Jason Bourne, a psychogenic amnesiac attempting to discover his true identity amidst a clandestine conspiracy within the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to track him down for inexplicably failing to carry out an officially unsanctioned assassination and then failing to report back in afterwards. Along the way he teams up with Marie, played by Franka Potente, who assists him on the initial part of his journey to learn about his past and regain his memories. The film also stars Chris Cooper, Clive Owen, and Brian Cox.

The film was directed by Doug Liman and adapted for the screen by Tony Gilroy and William Blake Herron from the novel of the same name written by Robert Ludlum, who also produced the film alongside Frank Marshall (though Ludlum died in 2001). Universal Pictures released the film to theaters in the United States on June 14, 2002 and it received a positive critical and public reaction. The film is the first in a trilogy, being followed by The Bourne Supremacy (2004) and The Bourne Ultimatum (2007).

Face (1997) is a British crime drama directed by Antonia Bird and written by Ronan Bennett. It stars Robert Carlyle and Ray Winstone and features the acting debut of rock singer Damon Albarn (Blur, Gorillaz).

Five men, criminals Ray, Dave, Stevie, Julian ("Julie" as a nickname), and Jason, plan a heist to steal sixty million pounds. But the tally is lower than expected and now the thieves are looking to each other for the shortfall...

Mean Machine is a 2001 British comedy-drama film directed by Barry Skolnick. It stars former English footballer Vinnie Jones as a soccer star jailed for assault who leads a group of inmates in a match against prison guards. The film is an adaptation of the 1974 American film The Longest Yard, featuring association football rather than American football. It also reunites most of the cast who have starred in the Guy Ritchie blockbusters Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch.

It is directed by William Castle, written by Robb White, and starring Vincent Price as eccentric millionaire Fredrick Loren. He and his fourth wife, Annabelle, have invited five people to the house for a "Haunted House" party. Whoever stays in the house for one night will earn $10,000 each. As the night progresses, all the guests are trapped inside the house with ghosts, murderers, and other terrors.

The Untouchables is a 1987 American crime-drama film directed by Brian De Palma and written by David Mamet. Based on the novel, the film stars Kevin Costner as government agent Eliot Ness. It also stars Sean Connery as Irish-American officer Jimmy Malone and Robert De Niro as gang leader Al Capone. The film follows Ness' autobiographical account of his efforts to bring Capone to justice during the Prohibition era.

The Untouchables was nominated for 4 Academy Awards, of which Sean Connery received one for Best Supporting Actor.
